A Message from the Founder: Why I Built Greener.om

The idea for Greener came to life in 2018—not in a brainstorming session, but in the real world, where I was preparing to open a restaurant. I quickly ran into the same problems that so many others in Oman’s food industry quietly struggle with every day: inconsistent prices, unpredictable quality, layers of intermediaries, limited access to primary sources, and worst of all—massive product waste.

It wasn’t just frustrating; it was eye-opening.

So, I started talking—really talking—to people in the ecosystem: restaurant owners, suppliers, importers, and end consumers. The picture that emerged was clear and shared across the board: we needed a smarter, more transparent, and more direct way to connect supply and demand in the food industry.

And that’s when Greener was born.

From a Personal Problem to a Scalable Solution

Our initial focus was narrow: fix the supply chain issues surrounding poultry and eggs—two essential staples with some of the most inefficient distribution systems. But as we dug deeper, we realized that the problem (and opportunity) was much bigger.

Today, Greener is growing into a full-cycle ecosystem—a smart supply, sales, recycling, and targeted consumption platform for poultry and egg products. We don’t just connect producers and consumers directly. We create new markets for secondary products and waste byproducts that are often overlooked, turning them into sustainable economic opportunities.

Supporting Small Producers, Backed by Smart Tech

At Greener, we strongly believe in empowering small and local producers. We give them a simple, low-cost way to reach their target markets—without needing big budgets or marketing teams. Through access to our platform, technical support, and consulting, we help them grow responsibly and sustainably.

Our technology is at the core of it all. With an easy-to-use interface, Greener makes it possible to browse, order, track, and receive poultry and egg products—all in just a few clicks. It’s quick, transparent, and designed for real-world efficiency.

A Greener Planet Starts with Smarter Decisions

We chose the name “Greener” because it reflects our core belief: that with conscious decisions and smart systems, we can build a cleaner, more humane world for the generations to come.

We do this by:

• Utilizing existing transport fleets more efficiently
• Reducing fuel consumption and operational costs
• Preventing food waste through smarter demand-supply matching
• Recycling food byproducts into usable economic resources

Our work starts in the poultry sector, but our ambition doesn’t end there. The structure of Greener is purpose-built to expand into sectors like green energy, hydrogen technology, eco-friendly construction, and more.
